What causes prostate pain

Patient's question:

Doctor, I have relief from the pressure of defecation and ejaculation, ejaculation pain, decreased libido, and severe damage to the scrotum near the prostate. What should I do?

Doctor's answer:

Hypothesis: In clinical diagnosis, some patients exhibit symptoms such as persistent urinary frequency, urgency, difficulty urinating, and prostate discomfort. However, their prostatic fluid often lacks pus cells, and there are no significant infectious pathological changes. Cultivation fails to identify bacteria. The majority of these patients are treated for chronic prostatitis, taking large amounts of Chinese and Western medications without symptom relief. In fact, these patients do not suffer from true prostatitis but rather experience pain due to genuine, severe pain in the urethral and prostate muscles, known as prostatodynia. Since the cause is habitual or spasmodic tightening of the pelvic muscles, medication and surgery are often ineffective for these symptoms.
