Features: In the TV series, the Jixiao Lan who constantly contends with the eunuch Heshen, actually advocates that gentlemen should be cautious and wary of petty men. It is rare for him to fail when provoked by an unfounded reason? In the TV series, Jixiao Lan shows great respect for women, but in his Notes from the Hermit's Studio, he frequently expresses views that belittle women. Therefore, Mu Hui believes that the Jixiao Lan in the TV series is purely a fictional portrayal. In an authoritarian society, the powerful Jixiao Lan even acknowledges the right of chefs to strike—how democratic that is!
