Symptoms of roseola?

Patient's question:

My child had a high fever in the middle of the night a few days ago. I used physical cooling methods, but it didn't come down. The next day, some small rashes appeared on his face and forehead, so I took him for a check-up and found out he had roseola. What are the symptoms of roseola?

Doctor's answer:

This is a viral infection that causes roseola, and after the onset, it can produce lifelong antibodies. When a child gets roseola, the main symptom is fever, which is usually moderate or higher in temperature and can last for about three days, generally not exceeding five days. After the fever subsides, a rash will appear, which usually disappears on its own within 48 hours, and then everything is fine. However, during the illness, it is essential to give the child plenty of warm water and juice, which helps with sweating and urination.
