Patient's question:
In the past three months or so. I've noticed some curvature in my testicles and mild pain. I also experience some weakness in my waist and knees, but no other symptoms. What should I do?Doctor's answer:
Testicular descent is a normal phenomenon. The reason the testicles are outside the body is that the temperature required for sperm production is about two degrees higher than body temperature. Moreover, the testicles require a constant temperature, so when the temperature is high, the scrotum becomes loose, the testicles hang down, and they move away from the body. When the temperature is low, the scrotum tightens, and the testicles move closer to the body to maintain the required temperature. Therefore, testicular descent is normal. If there is pain or other symptoms when it is separated, it may be a case of testicular inflammation and may require anti-infection treatment.
