What are the symptoms of prostatitis patients?

Patient's question:

I was diagnosed with prostatitis about half a year ago after a thorough examination. At first, it was just a feeling of body heat, and despite ongoing treatment, it never fully improved. Now, I also experience frequent urination, urgency, and pain during urination. What other symptoms could there be?

Doctor's answer:

Prostatitis manifests as type I, which is often recurrent and sudden, characterized by systemic symptoms such as chills, fever, fatigue, and weakness, accompanied by pain in the perineum and suprapubic region, and even acute urinary retention. Types II and III have similar clinical diagnostic symptoms, mostly involving pain and urinary abnormalities. Regardless of the type, chronic prostatitis can present with similar clinical diagnostic symptoms, collectively referred to as the prostatitis syndrome, including pelvic and sacral pain, urinary abnormalities, and sexual dysfunction.
