Features: Hans Hillman was born in Nieder-Mois/Schlesien (then part of Germany, now belongs to Poland) in 1925.
He studied at the State College of Arts and Crafts in Kassel from 1948 to 1949.
He studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Kassel from 1949 to 1953, under the guidance of professors Hans Leistikow and Kay H. Nebel.
From 1953 to 1956, he worked as a graphic designer in Kassel and Cologne.
He lived in Frankfurt on the banks of the Rhine River from 1956.
He became a member of the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (AGI) in 1961.
From 1961 to 1989, he served as a professor in the Department of Graphic Design at the University of Arts and Design in Kassel.
In 1994, he was honored as a member of the German Art Club.
