How to determine if you have phimosis?

Patient's question:

I usually pay less attention to many aspects of growth and development, but through comparisons with others, I feel that my genitalia are a bit different from other boys. The glans is hidden inside the penis, and when urinating, I also feel that I cannot fully spray it in. It seems a bit like what people often call phimosis, but I'm not sure, and I don't know how to speculate.

Doctor's answer:

Penis hood: The foreskin is excessively long and drapes over the front of the glans penis. The foreskin opening is not small, and it can be forcefully retracted upward partially or fully to expose some or all of the glans penis, without affecting urination.
2. Phimosis: The foreskin tightly wraps around the glans penis, with a very small foreskin opening, sometimes resembling a pinhole. It is completely impossible to retract the foreskin upward and expose the glans penis. During urination, urine cannot flow out through the narrow foreskin opening and accumulates in the space between the foreskin and the glans penis, causing the foreskin to swell like a bubble.
