Features: The main research focus of this book is the issue of income inequality among residents. The research foundation of this book comes from the China Economic Academic Fund Project, the Key Research Topic "Research on the Situation, Causes, and Countermeasures of Large Income Distribution Gap among Residents" by the National Development and Reform Commission (formerly the State Planning Commission) in 2001, and other research projects. In the chapter "Research on the Widening Situation, Causes, and Countermeasures of Income Distribution Gap among Residents," the author analyzes the application of the Gini coefficient in China. In judging and analyzing China's income gap using the Gini coefficient, the main data adopted are those calculated by the National Bureau of Statistics, which should be the most authoritative department domestically. Compared to other calculation results, the analysis by the National Bureau of Statistics is more detailed, with more observation points, relatively more accurate data classification, and data. Additionally, some data were also obtained through questionnaire surveys. The author also analyzes the changes in income inequality by calculating and analyzing the "income adverse index." In the specific analysis, the author calculates some indicators according to different research focuses, attempting to conduct an empirical analysis of the issue of income inequality among residents.
