What are the hazards of prostate calcification?

Patient's question:

This year, I don't know what's going on. I feel like I'm always urinating frequently and urgently. I've started not paying attention to it, but it's gotten worse and worse. Now, I'm already having difficulty urinating, with weak urine flow. A few days ago, I went to the hospital for a check-up and found out it's prostatic calcification. I don't really understand this condition. I don't know what harm it could do to my body, or if it will affect my life in the future.

Doctor's answer:

The infection pathways of prostatitis are hematogenous infection or direct extension. The main causes include:
1. During gonococcal urethritis, bacteria enter the prostate through the prostatic ducts, leading to inflammation.
2. Prostatic hyperplasia and stones cause deformation, bending, and congestion of the prostatic urethra, reducing immunity to non-pathogenic bacteria and resulting in recurrent prostatitis.
3. During the use of urethral instruments, bacteria may be pulled into the prostate, or bacteria from upper urinary tract infections may ascend, leading to prostatitis. Secondary causes are hematogenous infection, commonly following acute infections of the skin, tonsils, caries, intestines, or respiratory tract, where bacteria reach the prostate via the bloodstream, causing infection.
