Lu Shuxiang Collection (Volume 3)

Author: Collected Works of Lü Shuxiang
Publisher:
Publishing Date: July 1, 1992
Features: This collection does not include all the texts written by the author. Some scattered articles and single publications were excluded for various reasons. The collection consists of six volumes. Volume I is Essentials of Chinese Grammar, and Volume II is Collected Papers on Chinese Grammar, both of which have been published as standalone books. Volume III is Continued Papers on Chinese Grammar, which includes Modern Chinese Demonstratives, originally published as a standalone book, and grammar papers written after 1980. Volume IV is Miscellaneous Essays on Language and Literature, based on Lü Shuxiang's Essays on Language and Literature published in 1983, supplemented with non-specialized articles from the same period, along with some revisions and reorganization. Volume V contains four single publications on language and literature: General Talk on Language and Literature, Notes on Language and Literature, Commentaries on Annotating Ancient Books, and Chinese People Learning English. Volume VI is Translated Works, which is the Collected Translations of Lü Shuxiang published in 1983. At the end, like most authors, I hope readers can find some value in my books rather than entirely useless content. This is my sincere wish. Comrade Zhang Wankui of Commercial Press has done extensive proofreading for the entire collection, and Professor Jiang Weisong of Shandong University has written the book title for this volume. My heartfelt thanks go to both of them. Lü Shuxiang January 1, 1989
