Publish Date: 2004-11-01
Features: This collection includes eleven essays and twelve notes written by the author between 1940 and 1949, all of which have been previously published. The first two were in the Journal of the West China Union University Institute of Chinese Culture, the essay on subjects and objects in the 20th Anniversary Memorial Collection of the Kaiping Bookstore, the essays on "we" and "family" in the Chinese Language Monthly, and the notes were partly in the Chinese Language Quarterly and partly in the Chinese Language Monthly. The remaining essays were all in the Journal of Chinese Culture Research, a joint publication of Jinling, Qiuli, and West China Universities. These publications had small print runs, so not many people have read these articles. Now they are compiled into one volume to be shared with scholars who study Chinese grammar.
