Features: This book is a highly creative new management book that not only integrates internationally advanced management concepts and tools but also innovatively proposes the "KPI plus CPI" management philosophy based on a three-tiered structure. It holds considerable applicability and academic value. Writing a useful book is not easy, and being a useful person is even harder. The healthy growth of the management consulting industry requires more dedicated professionals like Ran Bin, and we hope he contributes even more to the field. Recently, I had a pleasant collaboration with Mr. Ran Bin in the field of human resources, and we deeply felt the importance of management consulting to enterprises. Mr. Ran Bin is willing to share his years of industry experience and research findings, which is a great news for businesses. We hope Mr. Ran Bin will write more books and better books. Performance management has always been a broad concept, often appearing complex and mysterious. The methodology elaborated by Mr. Ran Bin is exceptionally clear and practical, making his ideas equally effective for both ordinary employees and senior managers. After reading this book, I couldn’t help but sigh in relief. To be honest, it has been a long time since I’ve read such a satisfying book. This book has given me three major benefits: First, the light-hearted and humorous fable stories that helped me understand why performance management is necessary in enterprises; Second, the rich and detailed consulting cases that taught me how to implement performance management in businesses; Third, the in-depth yet accessible theoretical explanations that finally clarified what performance management is. The book consists of seven chapters, with the first chapter introducing the basic concepts of performance management and the seventh chapter discussing the performance management manual. The remaining chapters each focus on an independent topic, which are the five core components of performance management. While adhering to the traditional framework of performance management, the author proposes a new approach called the "Five-Step Performance Management Method." These five steps are: establishing a strategic map, goal decomposition, performance planning, performance evaluation, and the utilization of performance results. I have used these five steps as the titles for chapters two to six of this book. This book aims to introduce the entire process of the Five-Step Performance Management Method using simple and concise language and diagrams.
