Features: The editing and publication of Selected Works of Liu Shaoqi were intended to meet the needs of a broad readership in studying and researching Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, the history of the Chinese revolution and construction led by the Party, and the life and thought of Comrade Liu Shaoqi. The collection is divided into two volumes: the first volume compiles works published before the founding of the People's Republic of China, while the second volume compiles works published after its founding. During his long revolutionary practice, Comrade Liu Shaoqi wrote numerous articles, documents, telegrams, letters, and delivered many important speeches. Only a significant portion of his works are included in the collection, with many of them previously unpublished. Works included in the collection that were publicly published during Comrade Liu Shaoqi's lifetime or had manuscript versions have been preserved in their original form, with only minor corrections to sentences and historical facts. Speech transcripts have been edited for clarity. To facilitate readers' comprehension, prefaces and annotations have been provided. The prefaces are appended at the bottom of each page, while the annotations are listed in numerical order at the end of each volume.
