Is the size of the testicles normal as asked by the doctor?

Patient's question:

Is the size of the testicles normal as asked by the doctor? The ultrasound doctor said he didn't notice varicocele. So is the size of my testicles normal? Is it possible that I don't have epididymitis?

Doctor's answer:

In normal males, the size of the bilateral testicles is not exactly the same, with the right testicle being slightly larger than the left. Based on the length, width, and thickness of the testicles, the right testicle averages 3.38 cm x 2.37 cm x 1.78 cm, while the left averages 3.30 cm x 2.27 cm x 1.71 cm. Even among individuals of the same age group, there can be significant differences in testicular size. However, in adult males, as long as the testicular volume is above 15 ml and the difference is not too significant compared to normal testicles, it is considered normal. Regular medical examinations and training should be conducted.
