Features: Kreisler was born in Vienna in 1875, a time when Vienna was renowned worldwide for its elegance, romance, and joyful atmosphere. He showed extraordinary musical talent from a young age, winning numerous medals and the Rome Prize at the Paris Conservatory while most of his competitors were twice his age. In 1888, he made his debut in the United States and was highly praised by the audience. After returning to Vienna, he abandoned the piano to study medicine, determined to follow his father's footsteps and become a doctor. Later, he was conscripted into the army, interrupting his medical studies. During this period, he did not touch the piano at all. As a composer, Kreisler was exceptionally talented. He employed classical, romantic, and modern techniques in his compositions, many of which bore his unique style. His creative repertoire was diverse, including concertos, small instrumental pieces, chamber music, vocal works, operettas, and even musical comedies. He published over 200 works, and this book selects 38 of them.
