Authored essays such as Farewell to, The End of a Contemporary Myth, Notes from a Visit to the Soviet Union, and Sixty Years on the Literary Path—An Interview with the Elder Writer Huang Qiuyun, as well as translated works such as Notes of a Hunter, Rodya, Home of the Gentry, The Eve Before the Dawn, Fathers and Sons, Smoke, Virgin Soil, Asha, First Love, An Unfortunate Lady, and The Path of Love (all by the Russian author I.S. Turgenev).
Huang Weijing, despite his busy editorial work, devoted about a year of his spare time to this translation of the world-renowned masterpiece, undeterred by illness and relentless in his efforts.
