Features: "Take me away" is a suspenseful phrase. Who will take me away? Where are we going? Why do I want to be taken away? Do I really need to be taken away by others? Will I really follow that person? In the end, who took whom away? Everything that could possibly happen during this process, even I myself, don't fully understand. It is the story, or perhaps life itself, that guides my thoughts and pen as I walk. Where are they, he and she, really going? Or perhaps it doesn't matter where they go, the important thing is— they cannot stay. We keep trying to move forward. What awaits us at the front or the end, we don't truly know. That is the future that humans cannot grasp, and we merely hope and expect that it may at least be better than yesterday. So we occasionally need to look back. If the sunlight comes from the front, only by looking back can we clearly see our shadows. Many years have passed, and how many past events have been buried, yet I still cannot forget those stories. Time is like a small path covered in weeds, and my intuition tells me that if I clear away those thorns and brambles and walk forward, there must have been ruins and footprints ahead. Although that era seems very distant, it is also clearly before my eyes. Recalling the past is not just for nostalgia, but because the past continues and has never truly ended. So-called youth worker-themed novels have not been fully exhausted; perhaps they have just begun—this is because our understanding of ourselves and history is always seeking new starting points. In recent years, people who wake up early and exercise late have become popular with a form of "walking backward" exercise (Preface). This album is a collection of 5 middle-length stories and 2 short stories. In this series of works, Zhang Kankang takes the emotional life of urban women as the main thread, using her unique and delicate brushwork to vividly depict the current living conditions of the "youth worker" generation, the hustle and helplessness of contemporary urban small figures, and the various temptations and conflicts faced by women in different fields during a time of transformation. The highly condensed language reflects the collision between history and reality, exploring the depths of human nature. Among the main works, "Take me away" and "Sesame" have just been completed, with the former having been optioned for a high-priced TV adaptation.
