Humanity's bubble

Features: Liang Guowei, whether as a playwright, editor-in-chief of a newspaper, or a professor, has always been sidetracked by the idea of opening a book bar. I don’t think making money was his goal; instead, it was really about inviting a few of his cultural circle cronies to engage in lively discussions over foam-filled beer mugs while the melodies of Schubert’s serenade played in the background. Now that the book bar hasn’t materialized, the discussions have instead given rise to this book, The Foam of Human Nature, which serves as proof. These remarks are far more refined than the usual harsh criticism he’s accustomed to in the cultural circles, perhaps because he’s become more cultured after becoming a professor at a prestigious university. The discussions in the book bar were wrapped in music and fine wine, making them pleasant to listen to and quite enjoyable. I hope more friends will read Professor Liang Guowei’s book—you won’t regret it.
