Features: What sets defense economics apart from general economic research is its strong ideological factors at play. Due to its involvement in national security, some topics become highly sensitive. This made me have to adjust my approach several times. Initially, I planned to divide the book into two parts: one introducing defense economics theory and the other introducing defense economic practice. However, problems quickly arose: the practice section inevitably touched on some real-world issues, and it was unclear which topics could not be discussed, or how certain things should or should not be said, leaving me unsure of how to proceed. In this situation, I simply decided to cut the latter part and instead presented the materials I was fully confident in—those that were 100% publicly available in published articles—as columns within the theoretical section. Moreover, each piece of information was properly sourced to ensure the book had no issues.
