Features: Since the third edition of the "National Standard Compilation of Test Methods for Petroleum and Petroleum Products" was published in 1998, seven years have passed. During this time, some standards have been reviewed and revised, while others have been cleared and abolished. Meanwhile, new test method standards have been continuously released and implemented. For this reason, petroleum production and sales enterprises, scientific research and teaching institutions, as well as a broad range of users, eagerly anticipate the publication of a new standard compilation. To meet the needs of all parties, Sinopec Technology Development Department has organized relevant standardization technical competent authorities to re-edit and publish the "National Standard Compilation of Test Methods for Petroleum Products." This compilation is divided into two volumes, including a total of 170 national standards for petroleum and petroleum products approved and published by the end of December 2004, with 95 national standards included in the first volume. Due to space limitations, the national standard GB/T 1885—1998 "Petroleum Meter Table" and GB/T 2541—1981 (1998) "Viscosity Index Calculation Table for Petroleum Products" have not been included in this compilation.
