Collection of Leiting Folk Traditional Stories

Publish Date: 2003-01-01
Features: This book is the result of the author's collection, organization, and refinement of works such as Selected Legends of Leting, Leting Folk Songs and Proverbs, and Modern Chivalry. It includes character legends, art legends, local legends, other legends, as well as life stories and fantasy stories, ghost and supernatural tales. After several rounds of editing and polishing, some pieces are no longer purely folk literary works in their original sense. In my opinion, from a literary perspective, the artistic quality of this book may be even more exquisite, perfect, and beneficial to the times. In a certain sense, this might be a small yet meaningful attempt at the development of folk literature in the new historical period. As folk literature passed down through oral tradition, it often originates from ancient historical legends and folk tales. Due to its historical limitations, its content is bound to be a mix of the refined and the inferior. I hope readers can discern the essence from the dross and absorb the beautiful and virtuous aspects within.
