Features: This book is hailed by critics as a masterpiece of Russian postmodern style. The brutal modern war, the nomadic life, the inner conflicts, the ever-changing places of residence, and the unexpected events—all of these have given the exhibition new content. The protagonist of Witness participates in and witnesses numerous contemporary historical events. The author records the life process of a former peaceful Soviet territory that has now become a "hot spot" with a delicate and calm brushstroke, imbuing this process with a pacifist sentiment.
