Features: In China, engaging in the theoretical research of international trade undoubtedly requires the guidance of Marxist theory of international trade. However, what exactly constitutes Marxist theory of international trade, and what are its main contents? This is not fully understood by everyone. Even more so, some people openly deny the existence of Marxist theory of international trade. Currently, the widely used textbooks and certain academic monographs on international trade in China often with numerous theories of Western international trade, while placing Marxist theory of international trade in a subordinate or secondary position, with some merely serving as mere decorations. In response to this situation, three years ago, we applied to and were approved by the Research Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for a project titled "Research on Marxist Theory of International Trade." Marx originally intended to write a dedicated article on international trade, along with many related discussions and commentaries. The project team spent more than half a year extracting comments on international trade by the classic writers and compiled them into "On International Trade: Views of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Deng Xiaoping," which was internally printed for soliciting opinions.
