Features: Wei Zhongxing (Zifeng), born in 1953, is a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Artists Association, the Executive Deputy Director of Baoji Chinese Painting Institute, and the Director of the Chinese Painting Art Committee of Baoji Artists Association. His works have been selected six times in national exhibitions organized by the China Artists Association and won first prizes four times in major exhibitions such as "Ode to Yan'an" and "Western Land and Emotion." In 1997, Liaoning Fine Arts Publishing House published "Wei Zhongxing Landscape Painting Collection." Wei Zhongxing's landscape sketches adopt the "representational realism" technique, possessing the quality of guiding people to return to nature. In his view, expressing his sincere and pure feelings is paramount. He either uses light ink and dry brush to meticulously depict details or employs thick ink and blunt brushes to densely dot and lightly rub, with varying densities of forms, shades of ink, twists of lines, and clusters of dots—all of which are the result of natural creation. Thousands of strokes are added to numerous mountains, rocks, and trees, resulting in clear structures, varied arrangements, profound and lush textures, distinct layers, and a realm that embodies the principle of "the grander the taste, the more subtle it is."
