How can cerebral palsy in children be treated better?

Patient's question:

The baby is still unsteady on its feet now, easily toppling over with a slight touch, has unclear pronunciation when speaking, often drools, has a vacant gaze, frequently clenches its fists, and prefers to be alone. Its intelligence is lower than that of a typical child. When taken to the hospital for examination, the doctor diagnosed it as a case of cerebral palsy. How can pediatric cerebral palsy be treated?

Doctor's answer:

After 3 months, most children show obvious symptoms, indicating reduced movement in the affected limb, persistent clenched fists, absent grasp reflex, flexed and pronated forearm posture, and slow gait. In some patients, the affected limb may initially exhibit low muscle tone, which later progresses to paralysis. This type is often associated with intellectual disability and epilepsy. Joint function can be improved and self-care abilities enhanced by increasing joint mobility, regulating muscle tone, and enhancing motor control, coordination, strength, and endurance. Common techniques include: postural therapy, soft tissue stretching, muscle tone regulation techniques, and functional activation exercises.
