Features: This book reexamines the drivers, quality, and contradictions of China's economic growth from three perspectives: institutions, structure, and well-being. First, China's economic growth benefits from reform and opening-up. This book deduces and rigorously proves the specific contributions of institutional reform to China's economic growth within a strict logical framework. However, at the same time, we can also see that due to the lag in institutional reform, China's economy faces many problems and contradictions. The manifestations of these problems and contradictions are the imbalance and irrationality of the economic structure. Therefore, this book will discuss the problems and contradictions of China's economic growth from the perspectives of the dual economic structure, the tertiary industry structure, and the internal and external economic structure. All these problems and contradictions, in essence, are issues of welfare allocation in China's economic growth. This requires us to discuss the quality of China's economic growth from the perspective of the well-being of the broad masses. Therefore, institutions are the essential factors explaining the growth and fluctuations of China's economy, the imbalance of the economic structure is the manifestation of the problem, and people's well-being is the focal point of the discussion and the standard for measuring the quality of economic growth. Under such a framework, this book will consist of three parts: the Institutional Part, the Structural Part, and the Well-being Part.
