Features: The book is divided into two volumes, with the first volume covering 80 hours and the two volumes together covering 160 hours. It includes 29 texts, 23 dialogues, 304 professional terms, and 20 reading materials. The two volumes of the textbook are arranged with approximately 1,500 new words and phrases. To meet the needs of adult public English teaching in civil aviation in China and based on our English teaching practices in college classes over the years, we have compiled this textbook as the basic English textbook for non-English majors in various college programs of Civil Aviation Management Cadre College. The target audience is adult learners with a beginner's level of English. The teaching objectives are to enable learners to master basic English knowledge and civil aviation fundamentals through phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, and text teaching, to improve their fundamental English proficiency, and to lay a solid foundation for professional English learning. At the same time, appropriate listening and speaking training is conducted to primarily achieve the goal of improving reading skills.
