"Civil Law" is one of the core textbooks for law majors in higher education institutions, compiled based on the "Basic Requirements for Civil Law Teaching" approved by the Ministry of Education of the state. This book adheres to Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, and especially the theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics proposed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping. It is grounded in the practical realities of China's primary stage of socialist construction and development, striving to reflect the requirements of governing the country according to law and building a socialist rule-of-law state. It also reflects the achievements in civil legislation and the application of civil legal norms to regulate social life. The book draws on and absorbs the intellectual contributions and viewpoints from civil law research both domestically and internationally, emphasizing the elucidation of the fundamental theories and institutions of this discipline to meet the needs of undergraduate civil law teaching.
