Features: The Radio and Television University has been in operation for over 20 years since its establishment in 1979, cultivating hundreds of thousands of high-level legal professionals for the country. In 1999, to adapt to China's socio-economic development and the need to build a socialist rule-of-law state, the Ministry of Education's Modern Distance Education Project, the Central Radio and Television University's "Reform of Talent Cultivation Models and Open Education Pilot Program," was launched as a national key research project. The reform of the undergraduate talent cultivation model for law majors and the open education pilot program were important components of this project.
To achieve optimal allocation of educational resources, the Central Radio and Television University collaborated with the China University of Political Science and Law to introduce undergraduate education starting from a junior college level in law. Additionally, experts from universities such as Peking University and the China People's University were invited to participate in the development of teaching resources.
To better explore the principles of modern distance open education and fully reflect the characteristics of student-centered learning, the Central Radio and Television University, drawing on its 20 years of experience in education, reformed the format and design of textbooks to suit students' learning needs. The content was carefully crafted to emphasize practicality, enabling students to grasp the fundamental concepts and theoretical frameworks of the discipline, develop analytical and problem-solving skills, and cultivate self-learning and innovative thinking abilities to meet the demands of the talent cultivation model reform and open education.
While developing written textbooks, we also provided supplementary learning materials such as audio recordings, video recordings, CAI (Computer-Assisted Instruction) software, and online resources to offer learners comprehensive support services. This textbook is part of the series materials for the law major implemented by the Central Radio and Television University under the Ministry of Education's "Reform of Talent Cultivation Models and Open Education Pilot Program."
