Features: As China's economy rapidly develops, a large number of issues requiring systematic research have emerged. Without in-depth and systematic study, it is difficult to make scientific decisions. As finance has become one of the core industries of the national economy, the role of the financial system and policies in economic development and stability has become increasingly significant, making the People's Bank a key macro-decision-making body. Therefore, the research capabilities and standards of the People's Bank directly affect the level of macro-control decision-making and are closely tied to economic development and stability.
In 2005, it was the second year for the People's Bank to establish its three core functions and implement the "Research-Driven Bank" working mechanism, as well as to assign key research topics across the system. That year, the People's Bank's research system fully implemented the Scientific Outlook on Development, working with a spirit of truth-seeking and pragmatism, creatively carrying out tasks, and conducting solid research. It took on heavy theoretical and policy research responsibilities to strengthen and improve financial macro-control, gradually deepen and promote financial reform, drive financial innovation, and enhance financial services. The research work made significant achievements, playing an indispensable role in helping the People's Bank fulfill its functions.
This book collects 27 winning reports from the People's Bank's key financial research topics, covering six fields: monetary policy and macro-control, financial reform and development, financial stability and risk prevention, financial services and central bank management, international finance and foreign exchange management, and regional economy and finance. The topics include reforms of policy financial institutions, the current indicator system of China's economy, risk assessment and control of securities companies, and more.
