Features: The more Chinese people are attached to their spiritual beliefs, the more they tend to harbor a "revolutionary" idea towards the existing power. This "revolutionary" ideal has a long history, leading to conflicts or even hostility between value ideals and the power system. Because the legitimacy of power established by Chinese Confucianism is exactly the opposite and complementary, as well as mutually reinforcing and inhibiting, the cultural, social, and religious forces can only fully express themselves through the two twin structures of state power and ideology.
