Features: This book is divided into three parts. The first part primarily describes the basic knowledge of endoscopic ultrasound, including the acoustic fundamentals related to endoscopic ultrasound and the anatomical knowledge related to endoscopic ultrasound of the digestive tract. It also provides a detailed introduction to the principles and structures of endoscopic ultrasound, micro-ultrasound probes, and puncture endoscopic ultrasound. To help Chinese readers better understand the current state of endoscopic ultrasound abroad, this book dedicates a chapter to introducing the education and characteristics of endoscopic ultrasound in Japan, Europe, the United States, and other countries in Asia. Addressing the current situation where most gastroenterologists have weak foundational knowledge of abdominal ultrasound, this book specifically introduces over 100 commonly used ultrasound terms related to endoscopic ultrasound. In response to the current clinical trend of therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound, this book systematically introduces the image interpretation of longitudinal endoscopic ultrasound. The second part describes the diagnosis of common digestive system diseases using endoscopic ultrasound, focusing on the sonographic features of various diseases and providing clinical evaluations of the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasound. To facilitate readers' understanding of comprehensive imaging of digestive system diseases, this part conducts horizontal comparisons with other imaging modalities at the end of each section. The third part describes the treatment using endoscopic ultrasound, focusing on methodologies and clinical significance. Additionally, this book includes two chapters written by internationally renowned endoscopic ultrasound experts: "Capsule Endoscopic Ultrasound" and "Pantopancreatic Endoscopic Ultrasound," which are the first to appear in a dedicated endoscopic ultrasound monograph. The entire book contains over 1.2 million words and more than 1,900 figures, making it a valuable reference for doctors working in gastroenterology and ultrasound, as well as an auxiliary teaching material for medical students and continuing education.
