Features: This book explores two international regimes (Regimes) concerning human rights and intellectual property rights. Theoretically, it unfolds along two main axes. Vertically, it adopts a historical narrative approach, using the cultural logic of globalization development by American scholar Roland Robertson as a theoretical framework to examine the evolution of the globalization of intellectual property law and describe the expansion of intellectual property rights during the globalization process. It also investigates the growth of human rights under globalization by examining the emergence, development, and evolution of human rights treaties and the concept of human rights itself. Horizontally, it studies the intersections between human rights and intellectual property rights, analyzing their conflicts and coexistence under globalization. Through textual analysis, case studies, ethical analysis, and economic analysis of international treaties (mainly the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights of the World Trade Organization), it researches the causes, manifestations, and global governance of conflicts between human rights and intellectual property rights. It also attempts to explore human rights-based approaches to the global governance of intellectual property.
