Features: Once, in a mountain village, there was a shepherd boy. Every morning, he sang mountain songs and led his flock to the hills to graze; by the time the sun set, he would wave his long whip and drive the sheep back to the village. Day after day, two days, three days, the shepherd boy repeated the same routine, and gradually, he began to get bored.
"Ah, sitting on the hillside watching the sheep graze every day is so boring!" the shepherd boy sighed, talking to himself, "I need to think of a way to make myself happy!" The shepherd boy scratched his head and indeed came up with a "good idea"! He pretended to be panicked and ran quickly into the village.
As soon as he entered the village, the shepherd boy shouted, "The wolf is here! The wolf is here! Everyone, go save the flock!" Hearing the shout, the villagers quickly dropped what they were doing, picked up their hoes and shovels, and ran over, asking, "Where is the wolf?" Seeing everyone's anxious look, the shepherd boy laughed loudly, "You were all fooled! There's no wolf, I was just teasing you!"
Seeing the mischievous look of the shepherd boy, the villagers scolded him, "You're not supposed to be herding sheep properly, but instead causing trouble here. That's not right! Remember, you must never lie again!" But the shepherd boy, hearing this, felt no shame at all and kept making faces at everyone. The villagers shook their heads in anger and turned away.
The next day, the shepherd boy led his flock to the hills again. He chewed on some grass in his mouth, thinking: Herding sheep alone is so boring. I'll do the same thing as yesterday and fool everyone again! The shepherd boy walked to the cliff, cupped his hands to his mouth, and shouted loudly, "Help me, the gray wolf is here! Save me!" The villagers were working in the fields when they heard the shout. They were half-believing and half-doubting. Should they go? Maybe the shepherd boy was just fooling around again. Should they not go? If a gray wolf really came, the shepherd boy and the flock would be in trouble!
At this moment, the shepherd boy screamed again, "Oh, the gray wolf is biting my sheep! Help me, save me!" The villagers no longer hesitated, picked up their sticks, and ran quickly up the hill. But when they got there, they saw that the flock was leisurely grazing, and there was no sign of a gray wolf!
The shepherd boy saw everyone running out of breath and couldn't stop laughing, "Ha ha, what a group of foolish big fools. You fell for my trick again today!" The villagers were furious, turning back as they discussed, "This child is too unreasonable. He lies every day!"
"Yes, we were fooled twice by him. We can no longer believe his nonsense!" The shepherd boy didn't care about what everyone thought and continued to go up the hill to herd sheep every day. But a few days later, he really encountered a fierce wolf! Seeing the wolf charging at the flock, the shepherd boy ran away in fear, shouting loudly for help, "Come quickly, the wolf is eating my sheep! Save me!"
The villagers heard the shout and said unhappily, "This mischievous child is beyond saving. He's lying again!" The shepherd boy, in desperation, burst into tears and knelt on the ground, pleading desperately, "I'm not lying, the gray wolf is really here. Please believe me!" But everyone said, "Forget it. No matter how well you pretend, you can't fool anyone. We will never believe your lies again!"
