Features: Introduction The Harvard Yenching Library at Harvard University in the United States holds the "Reference News" from June 2, 1944, to November 4, 1945. These "Reference News" were edited and published by the Xinhua News Agency and the People's Daily, with varying formats—sometimes 8-page double-column, or 16-page seven to eight columns. As an internal publication, it is not common to find large quantities of them in existence, and modern Chinese news history rarely discusses them, so they hold certain research value.
