Features: The Inspiration of Chapter Education The Lucky Flock of Swallows in the Last Class of the Prep Class, Ilia predicts that I will receive 114 letters during the summer vacation. In fact, I received 5 more letters than expected. However, not all children wrote to me. Four children were probably so engrossed in playing and traveling (what else could it be?) that they actually forgot about me. So, excluding them, the average number of letters I received from the children was not just over 3, but 4 to 5 each. Every day, I received information about my children, and whenever I received a letter, I always replied to them the same day. At the same time, I took out a map of Georgia and marked the cities and towns where the letter writers sent their letters. These letters came from almost every corner of Georgia. In the letters, they told me how they were living, what they were busy with, and what made them happy or sad. I even received letters from abroad. Now, I am hanging this map on the corridor wall and spreading all 119 letters on the small table against the wall. Before I had a chance to finish these tasks, two children came to me first among the 38 in the class—they were Tia and Lera, siblings. They arrived an hour early, and as soon as they saw me, they greeted me in unison: "Teacher Shalva!" Their two arms, strong from the summer sun, pulled me toward them. "You've all grown taller! You're so tanned!" I exclaimed in surprise, looking at each of them carefully and admiringly. "Have you always lived in Tbilisi?" Tia asked me. "We brought back some small stones to put in the fish tank!" Lera said. As soon as we finished speaking, three more people came into the corridor—Lera and two Dato. A minute later, Magda and Vova arrived. Another minute passed—two Eka, Era, Bondo, Giga, and Sandro also came. After that, the rest of the children arrived one by one. Each child greeted me: "How are you?" "Very well!" I replied to everyone. "What have you been doing during the vacation?" "Preparing to meet you." "How are you resting?" "Working and reading, writing back to you." "Do you have any new plans?" "You'll find out yourselves!" "What will we do in school this year?" I answered, "Many things, many, many things!" I also asked each child how they had spent their first summer vacation of their lives. "Swimming in the sea!" "Reading!" "Helping my grandmother with housework in the countryside!" "I fell from a tree, but luckily, I wasn't seriously injured!" "Playing with children from the countryside!" Then I asked them to tell me about some new developments in their lives. "My family moved to a new house!" "That's wonderful! Congratulations!" "My father wants to transfer me to a school near our new home, but I don't want to go. I'll only go to the class you teach." "Once, I was taken to the hospital for treatment." "Really?"
