1.1 Laboratory Rules
Chemical synthesis is a work that demonstrates extraordinary creativity and poses challenges. In the process of understanding and recognizing nature, many chemical structures of natural products have been elucidated. Synthetic chemists then use chemical synthesis methods to replicate them to prove their structures. The purpose of chemical synthesis is not only this but also to modify this structure according to people's needs or to create entirely new structures. These complex tasks are often completed in the laboratory. This requires not only agile thinking, wisdom, and proficient experimental skills but also good experimental habits to ensure the smooth progress of experiments. Perhaps a minor non-standard habitual operation can cause us to miss the correct scientific results. Therefore, when we enter the laboratory for the first time, we must strictly abide by the rules of the chemical synthesis laboratory.
1. Enter the laboratory on time according to the schedule, maintain silence throughout the experiment, and do not whisper or discuss anything unrelated to the experiment.
2. Familiarize yourself with the laboratory environment, the locations and usage of fire extinguishers and first-aid kits, and strictly follow the laboratory safety rules, safety precautions for the use and operation of chemicals in the experimental procedures. Remember the handling methods and emergency measures in case of accidents.
3. Concentrate during the experiment and strictly follow the operational norms for each step. Observe carefully and keep detailed records, respecting the experimental results. When the experimental results differ from those provided in the textbook, actively think, analyze the problem, and find the answer.
4. Do not leave the experimental post without permission during the experiment.
5. Listen humbly to the teacher's guidance and do not arbitrarily change experimental procedures or methods. Conduct experiments strictly according to the steps, instruments, and quantities and specifications of reagents specified in the textbook. If you want to use new routes or methods for experiments, you must obtain the teacher's consent before making changes. If an error occurs during the experiment, do not end the experiment arbitrarily. Instead, actively consult the teacher to find the best solution.
6. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laboratory. Do not randomly discard or place experimental equipment, instruments, and chemicals. Follow the public experimental bench regulations for drug use, place waste in designated locations, and pour recycled solvents into designated sealed containers for further unified treatment.
7. Save water, electricity, and gas, and use chemicals strictly according to experimental requirements.
8. After the experiment, clean the instruments promptly. If any instruments are damaged, register and compensate for them. The duty student cleans the laboratory, organizes public instruments and chemicals, empties and cleans waste containers, checks water, electricity, gas, and doors and windows, and reports to the teacher before leaving the laboratory.

1.9 Microchemical experiments are hailed as the "revolution in chemical experiments." Microchemical experiments (microscale chemical experiments or microscale laboratory, abbreviated as ML, also known as microscale chemistry) are a new method and technology in chemical experiments that have developed rapidly in the past 20 years. These experiments are conducted in miniaturized instrument setups, with reagent usage being 90% or more lower than corresponding conventional experiments. They offer advantages such as saving reagents, reducing pollution, being fast, safe, and portable. Teaching practice shows that: chemical education
