Features: The entry and exit of enterprises have always been the central focus of industrial organization theory research. However, for a long time, both researchers and industry professionals have overlooked one key point: the critical aspect of entering an industry lies in the selection of different strategic groups within the industry. Moreover, enterprises that have successfully entered an industry will move between different strategic groups as external environments change. This book begins by analyzing the differences in profitability among enterprises and then explores the various barriers and their impacts that enterprises face during this mobility. It also conducts empirical research on China's two typical industries—beer and automotive. Based on the analysis, the author proposes that enterprises must continuously seek their strategic positioning during mobility, while reducing unnecessary mobility barriers is a major task for the Chinese government.
