Features: Why are there so many books teaching "how to write a business plan" in the market, yet almost none teaching "how to execute a business plan"? Because the future is ever-changing and unpredictable. Even the most detailed and thorough business plan cannot be executed in a step-by-step, unchanging manner. Therefore, it is impossible to teach such a thing. I can only pass on the principles, and whether it works depends entirely on individual fortune.
After years of practice and reflection, the author has found a simple and effective method—the PDCAI cycle, which stands for Plan, Do, Check, and Act. This book focuses on explaining how plans are carried out, how the PDCA cycle works, how business plans are implemented, how to conduct effective checks, and how to make corrections more efficiently.
The author uses small examples to illustrate big ideas, employing simple and elegant language to explain the solutions to key points in the PDCA cycle—such as how to set standards, how to execute them, how to check for common issues, how to set up checkpoints at crossroads, and how to correct violations.
The author believes that if one can fully grasp the four parts of Plan, Do, Check, and Act and master the key points, not only can the PDCA cycle continue to operate, but any management issues in an organization, system, or personnel within a company can be resolved. This will allow the company to reach the highest level of sustainable operation.
At the end of the book, there are case studies such as "Taiwan Philips Overcoming All Difficulties to Win the Deming Award" and "7-Even Treading the Bumpy Road to a Smooth Path," which serve as valuable references.
