The book is divided into four parts, primarily discussing the HSL theory, the 1+X+Y model, and their relationship from theoretical and practical perspectives, covering major issues such as how theory is integrated with practice in deaf child rehabilitation education. The content includes: Part "Overview of HSL Theory and 1+X+Y Model in Deaf Child Rehabilitation Education," which discusses the HSL theory in deaf child rehabilitation education, the 1+X+Y deaf child rehabilitation education model, and the implementation principles of the 1+X+Y model. Part "Individualized Rehabilitation," emphasizes the overview of individualized rehabilitation, auditory rehabilitation, speech therapy, and cognitive training. Part "Family Rehabilitation," highlights family rehabilitation, guidance for family rehabilitation, and the assessment of family rehabilitation. This book strives to embody the basic concepts of integrating medical and educational approaches, emphasizing communication, strengthening oral expression, and emphasizing practical application. It attaches importance to the combination of theory and practice, particularly practical application, and emphasizes the application of modern technology in deaf child rehabilitation education. The book was funded by the Major Project of the Ministry of Education's Philosophy and Social Sciences Research in 2004 and the Seattle Speech and Hearing Foundation in the United States. It can serve as a textbook for speech pathology and audiology majors and also as a reference for professionals in related fields.
