The Collected Diplomatic Speeches of Wellington Koo

Author: Wu Jianguan
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-08-01
Features: The speeches in this collection are selected from the "Wu Jianguan Papers" donated by Wu Jianguan to the Rare Books and Manuscripts Library at Columbia University in New York. There are hundreds of speeches preserved in this file, and it is difficult to count how many speeches Wu Jianguan delivered during his diplomatic career. This book selects speeches from major historical events and occasions, while also striving to include diversity in both themes and formats. For example, in addition to formal speeches, press conference Q&A sessions are also included. To allow readers to get closer to the authentic style of Wu Jianguan's speeches, this collection publishes both the original English manuscripts and the Chinese translations of the speeches together.
