Features: The mysterious Exam Tower Zhetelina is a great place, at least Herbert and Adams thought so. They spent a full seventeen years in this ordinary southern frontier village. From infancy to youth, these seventeen years of life were quiet and peaceful. Father's old carriage, creaking with every movement, would always wake them up in the morning. The vast fields were filled with endless chores, the fragrance of earth and potato roots invigorating them at every moment. During the harvest season, the villagers would hold grand feasts to thank the generous Earth God. People drank homemade beer as if it were hot water, while young men and women seized the opportunity to passionately express their love. Even the mothers relaxed their control over their children, and songs and laughter spread unrestrainedly among the crowd like boiling steam. In short, everything about the hometown was so beautiful, and now this Sefis Military Academy, which could freeze one's nose off, was as terrible as hell. Yes, that was the recruitment officer, the man who called himself an "advanced officer," who brought the King's recruitment mobilization order to the paradise of Zhetelina. "Give me your children, I will take them to the best military academy in the country, and make Zhetelina the most famous hometown of honor soldiers!" The man's shiny boots and gold ring made everyone believe that joining the military was the best choice for a rural boy to step into the world. With a wave of his arm, Herbert and Adams left their pleasant hometown and came to the freezing Olo province. After two years in the military academy, in addition to infantry drills and discipline regulations, the two learned many things:
1. Only non-nobles could attend collective military academies.
2. Sefis Military Academy was indeed the most famous in the country, but only in terms of its widespread alcoholism.
3. The recruitment officer had recently been promoted to the position of Guard Commander of Olo province due to his recruitment achievements.
4. His gold ring and boots were borrowed.
The strong physique developed through years of farming allowed Adams and Herbert to quickly adapt to the intensive training. At the same time, their shy nature made them among the few non-alcohol-loving students in Sefis. Over the two years, Herbert and Adams grew stronger physically and became more skilled in martial arts, recognized by all instructors as top students. However, as the saying goes: "The caged bird sings the sweetest song." One day, the two encountered a group of drunken fourth-year students in the back mountains of the school.
"Ah, look who I met? Herbert and his little lover!" the leader, a red-haired man with a pug nose and dirty yellow teeth showing beneath it, teased.
The followers burst into lewd laughter.
"I don't think it's necessary for someone about to graduate to cause trouble. It's no good if your records get dirty, senior," Herbert said calmly but firmly.
"Don't worry, Adams. The discipline supervisor won't come to this godforsaken back mountain. We can have fun undisturbed, right?"
"We don't seem to know each other," Herbert said coldly.
"Oh, dear, you can't say that. Since you refused to give the boss a drink, all the Olo students have known you."
"We never did anyone
