Author: Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-05-01
Features: This translation is based on the 1964 edition by Gallimard in France. When dealing with Rousseau's arguments, the editor often lists the discussions of related authors who inspired and influenced Rousseau in footnotes at the end of the text, which gives this edition a distinct intertextuality. The translator has translated the most important footnotes for reference or consultation by interested readers. Names and places mentioned in the book are annotated by the translator.
