In the morning, when I was still lingering in the sweet dream, I suddenly felt as if someone was whispering beside me. My heart tightened, "How can it be exam time again?!" Struggling to get up, I looked around, only to find myself in an unfamiliar place. Which exam did I pass? In an instant, I developed "confusion syndrome," asking myself in panic, "Where am I? Is this dormitory for university this big and grand? And who is the girl standing beside me?"
"The noble Phimon, breakfast is ready." The girl's voice was sweet and soft, making me lose my senses in an instant. Phimon?
I shook my head vigorously, trying to clear my thoughts. There's no way—senior high exams left many aftereffects. Wait, I remember: I just graduated, haven't started a new school yet, and I'm in the carefree graduation celebration period. For this year's graduation trip, for some mysterious reason, the traditional patriotic journey was canceled, replaced by a newly launched virtual space game.
These new games are somewhat similar to online games of the past, all involving multiplayer interaction. The difference is that when playing virtual space games, players' consciousnesses can fully enter the virtual world, and the real sense of the game world can rival the real world. In other words, players are as if they are embodied in the characters, feeling completely synchronized. Some say playing virtual games is like having a particularly realistic dream, where you completely become someone else.
Our class was determined to participate in a game called The Seventh Era: Rift in Space, with a fantasy world background of swords and magic, dragons, ghosts, magic, epic heroes, legends—all romantic, warm, grand, and even crazy dreams can be embodied in it—at least we were assured of this.
Additionally, before entering the game, all of us took a set of tests. It was said that the computer would provide multiple character candidates based on the players' special requirements and the answers to the test questions, and then randomly assign one from the candidates.
My only requirement was to play as an unrestrained villain. From the screen prompt I glanced at later, it seemed to be this noble Phimon, with the position of the seventh legion commander of the demon realm. Since I chose the exploration mode, the other details would need to be discovered on my own. In that case, let me take the first step on the path of light in the game.
I dismissed the maid, pulled up the curtains, and found a floor mirror. First, let's see what this guy looks like—don't let him really look like a villain. "Wow!" The moment I saw myself in the mirror, my mouth fell open in astonishment: silver hair, green eyes, delicate features, and a handsome, graceful appearance.
Hahaha! To end up with a character so good-looking, I must have won! Making a silent, manic laugh, I spun around and strode out. Wait! I rushed back to the front of the mirror to examine my appearance again, and after five seconds of silence, I let out a tragic cry. "Why am I a guy?!"
