Features: Composite pressure vessels is an interdisciplinary engineering science that integrates pressure vessel engineering, composite materials engineering, mechanical manufacturing engineering, and mechanical analysis. Due to the special stress characteristics and operating environment of pressure vessels, the anisotropy of composite materials is effectively utilized here. However, there are few reference materials available on this topic, which has made it inconvenient to promote the application of such vessels. This book primarily introduces the design, manufacturing, and inspection of pressure vessels made of metal-metal composites, metal-nonmetal composites, and nonmetal-nonmetal composites. It also conducts relevant mechanical analysis, finite element analysis, and fatigue analysis on these three types of pressure vessels. At the end of each chapter, a typical structure is illustrated with detailed analysis and introduction. In the traditional sense, general composite materials are not suitable for manufacturing pressure vessels. This paper focuses on the design, standards, manufacturing, inspection, and strength analysis of composite materials applied in pressure vessels. It serves as a reference for relevant professional technicians and can also be used as a graduate textbook for related majors in higher education institutions.
