Features: Since its publication, this book has been deeply loved by for its accuracy and practicality. Based on the "2007 Legal Master Professional Degree Graduate Joint Entrance Examination Syllabus" and the "Legal Master Professional Degree Graduate Joint Entrance Examination Guide," it has been revised and published in accordance with the syllabus requirements and the latest changes in question types, making it suitable for candidates participating in the 2007 National Legal Master Joint Entrance Examination and part-time Legal Master candidates.
Candidates preparing for the 2007 Legal Master Professional Degree Graduate Entrance Examination are currently undergoing intensive pre-examination review. During this process, the only study materials they can access are the aforementioned two books: the "Syllabus" and the "Guide." According to the admission requirements for Legal Master Professional Degree Graduate Programs, candidates must be non-law undergraduates (with the exception of those participating in the October Legal Master Professional Degree Graduate Examination for political and legal system part-time personnel).
From the perspective of past exam question types and content, these candidates are expected to possess strong legal thinking skills and solid legal knowledge training, as well as excellent legal analysis abilities. This creates a significant contrast: on one hand, these candidates have not studied any legal knowledge, have not undergone any legal thinking training, and have never used legal concepts and knowledge to analyze legal provisions, cases, or events. On the other hand, from the perspective of future graduate-level study and research, these candidates must possess preliminary legal thinking and analysis skills, as well as a relatively solid foundation in legal professional knowledge.
Some candidates may ask: Given the existence of the "Guide," why is it necessary to publish this book? Our fundamental consideration is: , we believe that in addition to the "Syllabus" and the "Guide," there is a need for a book to help candidates develop and strengthen their legal thinking and problem-solving abilities. From past exam questions, the primary abilities required of candidates are precisely these two, yet candidates often lack them.
Second, the "Syllabus" is the sole basis for the of the Legal Master Professional Degree Graduate Entrance Examination. Although the "Guide" is written based on the "Syllabus," or in essence, the "Syllabus" is a condensed and simplified version of the "Guide," due to the limited scope of the "Guide," some issues are not fully explained or elaborated on, certain explanations are not expanded, and some issues are even omitted. This necessitates a supplementary study book to fill these gaps.
Third, the "Guide" is a textbook that explains basic legal knowledge in a textbook style, providing candidates with flat knowledge about law rather than three-dimensional knowledge. The teaching methods of instructors in various pre-examination tutoring classes typically focus on delivering basic knowledge with illustrative examples as a supplement. As a result, candidates also struggle to gain a comprehensive three-dimensional understanding of law, which is a key focus of the exam. This can be verified through past exam questions: in the "Guide," answers to directly findable questions are rare, and the vast majority of questions cannot be directly answered using the "Guide." This does not diminish the role of the "Guide"; it serves as a foundation for candidates, who would be completely unfamiliar with legal knowledge without it, making legal thinking and analysis skills impossible to develop. However, the underlying substance or the implied content in the "Guide" requires a book to abstract or distill it from another perspective.
Fourth, generally explaining the basic knowledge of exam subjects is redundant and meaningless, as it duplicates the "Guide." Therefore, there is a need for a book that focuses on explaining and analyzing exam key points, focus areas, and various question types, serving as a necessary supplement to the "Guide" and a candidate's exam preparation study material.
Based on the background of Legal Master Professional Degree Graduate Entrance Examination candidates and the current state of study materials, we have organized professors and doctoral candidates from the Law School of Renmin University of China to write this book based on the new "Syllabus" and referencing the revised "Guide." The contributors to this book are all experts in the field, who either participated in the development of the "Syllabus" and the writing of the "Guide," or were involved in the revision of the "Syllabus" and "Guide," or have participated in the legal master exam process, or have been employed to provide pre-examination tutoring for legal master professional degree graduate students. They have a deep understanding and insight into the exam requirements, approaches, and answer methods and techniques for the legal master exam.
