Features: Well, I’ve written quite a bit over the years, originally just for my own entertainment. Never did I expect that it would be published and receive such acclaim, with millions of fans. Thank you all! The Rise of a Dragon primarily covers three centuries of Ming Dynasty history from 1344 to 1644, based on historical records, with eras and key figures as its main threads. It incorporates elements of fiction to provide a panoramic view of the fates of the Ming emperors, nobles, and ordinary people. It particularly delves into court politics, wars, and the Machiavellian mindsets of emperors, while also weaving in narratives about the political and economic systems and moral ethics of the time. This is truly the culmination of my efforts.
I have a habit when writing—due to reading too many scholarly books in my youth, I despise overly pretentious writing. In reality, history itself is fascinating, and all history can be written beautifully. I wrote The Rise of a Dragon to prove this to others. Starting with our main protagonists, I aim to cover three hundred years, and I hope I can complete it! The Rise of a Dragon: Zhu Yuanzhang Volume begins with Zhu Yuanzhang’s origins and ends with the Battle of Jingnan, which marked the rise of the Yongle Emperor. It narrates the arduous and relentless process of the Ming Dynasty’s founding. Zhu Yuanzhang vs. Chen Youliang—who could claim the throne? The Battle of Taiping, the decisive showdown on Lake Taihu. Hidden tigers at the edge of the bed—eliminating Zhang Shicheng. ... Xu Da, Chang Yuchun, and other legendary generals crush the remnants of the Yuan Dynasty. There’s also the greatest mystery of the Ming Dynasty—the Battle of Jingnan, involving the Yongle Emperor’s seizure of power and the disappearance of the Jianwen Emperor. The climax unfolds, leaving readers unable to put it down...
