Features: The novels of Guy de Maupassant are a model of French charm, showcasing exquisite artistic techniques and a natural, flowing style of writing, as well as pure language. They hold an irreplaceable position in French and world literary history. His works have been translated into over one hundred languages and remain bestsellers to this day. Maupassant's novels have had a broad and profound influence on me. Classic works such as "Boule de Suif," "The Necklace," and "My Uncle Leo" are widely known and have been included in middle school textbooks. The newly issued "General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards" by the Ministry of Education have designated Maupassant's short stories as required reading for students. Maupassant was a great French realist writer and short story master of the late 19th century, a prominent representative of the naturalist literary movement, and is known as one of the "Three Kings of Short Stories in the World" alongside Anton Chekhov and O. Henry. Maupassant's language is bold, clear, and fluid, filled with a rustic charm, making us reluctant to put them down. He possesses the three great strengths of a French writer: clarity, clarity, and clarity. – French renowned writer Anatole France
