I want to know how to treat balanitis

Patient's question:

I recently developed balanitis. There are red spots on my glans. Sometimes it itches a bit. Is my foreskin too long? Now the red spots seem to be getting more and more, how can I quickly heal the balanitis?

Doctor's answer:

How to treat balanitis? For patients with clear etiology, appropriate medication should be applied. For example, for candidal balanitis, topical nystatin cream, clotrimazole, econazole, miconazole cream, or oral antifungal drugs such as itraconazole, fluconazole, miconazole, and ketoconazole can be used. Trichomoniasis balanitis can be treated with metronidazole, tinidazole, and mitomycin. Amoebic balanitis can be treated with imidazole, metronidazole, and tinidazole. If close relatives also suffer from candidal or trichomoniasis vaginitis, they must be treated simultaneously.
