Author Introduction: Yang Pingzhi is from Qu County, Sichuan. He joined the army in 1977 and was transferred to civilian service in 1994. He currently works at a department of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He is a member of the Chinese Prose Society and has won the Military Literature Awards of the General Logistics Department for the 6th and 7th sessions. In 2000, he published the essay collection "Words Like Water."
